Billing & Insurance
At Advanced Women’s Healthcare, we accept most insurance plans. While we work with many carriers, some plans may consider us out-of-network. Because insurance companies are offering more narrow networks these days, we encourage you to double-check with your plan to make sure we’re in-network.
As a courtesy, we will:
-
Contact your insurance company to check your benefits
-
File claims with your insurance on your behalf
Please keep in mind: the information we receive from your insurance is an estimate, not a final guarantee of payment. Every plan is different, and coverage can vary in ways we can’t always predict.
-
Not every service we provide is covered by all insurance plans.
-
If lab work or imaging is needed, you may receive a separate bill directly from that facility.
Missed Appointments ~
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 2 business days in advance. A $40 fee applies for missed appointments or changes made with less notice. Appointment changes must be made during our regular business hours.
Payment Information ~
Patients are responsible for paying co-payments, deductibles and co-insurance at time of service. Please remember that we do not set your co-payment amount. Your co-payment is contracted between you and your insurance company, and we are not allowed to waive or reduce co-payments. As a service to you, we will bill any remaining co-insurance, deductible, and non-covered services to you after your insurance has processed your claim.
We accept cash, Visa, and MasterCard. Please note, card payments include a small processing fee.
Our goal is to keep our financial policies clear, fair, and respectful of your time and resources.
CMS Open Payments
For informational purposes only, a link to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Open Payments web page is provided here. The Open Payments database is a federal tool used to search payments made by drug and device companies to physicians and teaching hospitals. It can be found at https://openpaymentsdata.cms.gov. The federal Physician Payments Sunshine Act requires that detailed information about payment and other payments of value worth over ten dollars ($10) from manufacturers of drugs, medical devices, and biologics to physicians and teaching hospitals be made available to the public.
